In the northern part of the city, the Phap Hoa Pagoda, open to all who want to visit, was built in the 1990s by a Buddhist monk, Tchich Thien Dinh. Little known to the residents themselves, the building is worth seeing, especially for its architectural beauty. You will be able to see two imposing Buddha statues from a distance, one lying on his side and the other covered with gilding-they dominate the view from their posts.
The temple is home to the mausoleum of its founder, as well as a spiritual school. A complete change of scenery awaits you on the first Sunday of every month during a vegetarian lunch organized by the Vietnamese community. You will be welcome to discover their customs. Set at a large table, you will savour specialties with wisdom such as spring rolls or a vegetable tofu stir fry, under the watchful eye of Mrs. Phan Dinh Goi.
